*Respondents were given a list of brands and asked to identify those with which they were at least somewhat familiar. They were then provided a list of social causes or platforms and asked which, if any, they associated with a subset of the brands they identified.

Note: Brands listed in our survey but are not featured on interactive visual because less than 5% of respondents familiar with the brand associated that brand with a specific social cause or platform:

  • Shoes & Athletics: DSW, Keds, Steve Madden, Sweaty Betty, Vans
  • Clothing: J.Crew, Kohl’s, LOFT, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Supreme
  • Luxury: Coach
  • Retail Clubs: Stitch Fix
  • Other Beauty: Axe
